With a powerful hunch that that wish wouldn’t be granted, Tatsuya still couldn’t help but wish it anyway.

Leo left the school gates and silently followed Erika.

Even so, for him, it didn’t feel like they were going home from school together. For all intents and purposes, there was only one road from the gates to the station. He simply didn’t have any urgent matters that would have made him pass her by. And Leo thought it was the same for Erika, too.

They were just walking in the same direction, and their paces just happened to be the same, too.

“Leo?”

So when she suddenly called his name, he stopped out of surprise.

Erika had stopped, too. “Do you have time today?”

He didn’t immediately understand the question, so he stood there dumbly for a moment. Erika spun around. Her skirt fluttered into the air, but Leo’s eyes were glued to hers.

Those eyes without a speck of softness.

Those eyes without a hint of mischief.

Her eyes were painted with a steel-blue vigor, looking like they could slash into him at any moment.

“Do you?” she asked again, short.

That broke the curse on Leo. “…I don’t have anything going on, really.”

“Then come with me.”

She spun on her heel again and started walking away at a brisk pace. Leo followed at the same speed, still silent. Visually, it was the same as before.

But the nuance had changed completely.
